1915 approx - Richard Donal (Dick) Lane 1885 - 1966

Richard Donal (Dick) Lane, the grandson of Patrick Carrucan and Mary O'Brien, grew up in Eltham but moved to Western Australia with his parents in 1898, aged 13 years. They settled in Boulder where his parents established the bakery which became known as 'Lane Brothers Bread Factory'. He went to Ireland to study law at Trinity College, taking every prize for which he was eligible in his final year and taking articles at the Inns of Court. Returning to practice in WA, he was known as 'Dick of Dublin'.
