1923 - Betty Carrucan first communion The Carrucans of Eltham, like all Irish immigrants, were staunch Catholics and the First Communion was a huge family celebration. This photo shows the first communion of Elizabeth Agatha (Betty) Carrucan) in 1923, at age 7. It is actually a very large framed photo that is with Betty's son Tim. It used to hang on the wall of the family farm in Dalton St Eltham.
