He is one of the main cogs in the active family history group. Frank was born in 1948 and this photo shows him as a very young child, circa 1950.

Matthew died at Camberwell on 3 March 1961 from natural causes. Kathleen died at Melbourne on 14 December 1968 from natural causes. Both are buried at Box Hill Cemetery, Box Hill Victoria.

Wilfred, son of David William Simpson and Amelia Truran, was born on Nov. 18, 1899 in Mount Edgerton Victoria and died on Apr. 1, 1949 in Ringwood Victoria.
Monica and Wilfred had two children, Edna Simpson who was born on Mar. 19, 1942 and Valerie Ann Simpson who was born on Oct. 18, 1943 in Yallourn hospital.

1960s - painting of Dalton St farm23 viewsPeter Cuffley explains the origin of this painting of the Dalton St farm in Eltham: My brother's great friend, Peter Hurry, who grew up in a mud brick house on a property down Sweeneys Lane, rang me the other day to arrange for me to send one of my books to his friend Hamish Knox, son of Alistair Knox. While visiting Hamish at Christmas Hills, Peter noticed a painting on the wall of a familiar place. Hamish said that his older sister Gabriella (Gabe) had painted it years ago, and that it was of Jack Carrucan's house in Dalton Street.
We suspect it dates from the 1960s.

1966 - Jack Carrucan at Dalton St Eltham farmhouse24 viewsPatrick Carrucan's block was in Dalton Street in Eltham. This was not originally a Carrucan farm but was bought by the Carrucans in the 1850's from a farming family called Ball. The old homestead was on the corner of Bible and Dalton Streets and remained intact and occupied until Jack Carrucan died in 1976. The photo below shows Jack in front of the house. The photo shown was taken in 1966 and shows Jack at the front gate of the farmhouse, facing Bible St. All that remains now is the cyprus tree.

1966 - Dalton St Carrucan farmhouse in Eltham23 viewsWhen John Francis (Jack) Carrucan died in 1976, inspections of the old family farm house in Dalton St showed that it was too badly effected by white ants (we had known that and had to walk very carefully in the back rooms due to the deterioration of the floor). Thus the house was pulled down when the property was split up and sold after Jack's death. What a shame!

The farm stayed in the family until their grandson John Francis (Jack) Carrucan died in 1976. At that stage what remained of the property was subdivided and sold. This photo shows Jack with his nephew Terry Erickson circa 1968 at the milking sheds opposite the farm house.

In 1953 she married Matthew O'Halloran and they had their own family with children Anne (b 1954) and James (b 1956). Until 1969, this was their family home - the address 40 Fairholm Grove, Camberwell.
Alas the marriage was cut short when Matthew died in 1961 and Kathleen was left to bring up their children on her own. Kathleen died in 1969 and at that stage, the family home was no more.
Anne and James are now grown up with their own families.

Anne has now grown up and is married to Graeme Frederick Crook. They have two children Matthew (b 1977) and Trevor (b 1979).

She subsequently joined the Little Sisters of the Poor and died in 2001 and died as Sr Veronica Mary. She was a great grand daughter of Peter and Hannah Carrucan.

1977 - Agnes Josephine O'Bryan - Sister Michelle21 viewsAgnes Josephine O'Bryan (1915-2007), the second daughter of Hannah Sloan and Michael O'Bryan, was born in 1911.
She decided to enter the Mercy Sisters after her 21st birthday, trained as a teacher at Ascot Vale and taught in Mercy secondary schools for 60 years. Initially known as Sister Michael, she changed her religious name to Sr. Michelle after the Second Vatican Council.
She celebrated her Diamond Jubilee in 1997 and retired again to Rice Village retirement Village where her books were not far away. She died in 2007.
She was a great grand child of Peter and Hannah Carrucan.
