1960s_painting_of_Dalton_St_farm.jpg
1960s - painting of Dalton St farm158 viewsPeter Cuffley explains the origin of this painting of the Dalton St farm in Eltham: My brother's great friend, Peter Hurry, who grew up in a mud brick house on a property down Sweeneys Lane, rang me the other day to arrange for me to send one of my books to his friend Hamish Knox, son of Alistair Knox. While visiting Hamish at Christmas Hills, Peter noticed a painting on the wall of a familiar place. Hamish said that his older sister Gabriella (Gabe) had painted it years ago, and that it was of Jack Carrucan's house in Dalton Street.
We suspect it dates from the 1960s.
