WIN'S PAGE
21 October 1914 - 3 January 2013
Winifred Marian Millard was born on the 27th October 1914, during World War 1. She was the fourth child of Sidney and Maude Millard, with older brother Arthur, older sister Ellie and twin brother Len.
She married George Kimpton in 1941 and, once WWII had finished, they had 3 children, Neil, Lois and Beverley. She and George moved with their young family from Carlton to 26 Queens Parade, Fawkner, in 1951, and it was there that the family grew and prospered.
Although George died in 1979, Win stayed in the family home at Fawkner until just before her 91st birthday in 2005, when she moved to the Hilltop Aged Care facility in Preston. Hilltop was then her home until her death on Thursday 3rd January, 2013, aged 98.
